Overview
GenCare Resources, LLC uses SMS/text messaging as a communication tool to support patient care coordination, scheduling, independent contractor administrative coordination, and operational communications. By voluntarily providing your mobile phone number and completing the opt-in process, you agree to receive SMS notifications from GenCare Resources, LLC as described in this policy.

Consent to receive SMS messages is never required as a condition of receiving services from or providing services to GenCare Resources, LLC.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.

Who Receives SMS Messages
GenCare Resources sends SMS notifications to two distinct groups:

1. Patients and Authorized CaregiversIndividuals receiving home health services who have voluntarily provided their mobile phone number and consented to receive SMS communications related to their care.

2. Independent ContractorsIndependent contractors who perform services for GenCare Resources and who have voluntarily signed a standalone SMS/Text Messaging Authorization Form during onboarding, separately from any service or contractor agreement.

How Consent is Collected
Patients and Caregivers
Patients or their authorized caregivers provide consent by:

Verbally providing their mobile phone number during intake and agreeing to receive SMS notifications

Signing the SMS/Text Messaging Authorization Form during registration

Independent Contractors
Independent contractors provide consent exclusively by signing the standalone SMS/Text Messaging Authorization Form during onboarding. This form:

Is completely separate from any service agreement or contractor agreement

Is not required to provide services to GenCare Resources

Requires the contractor to provide their mobile phone number

Requires the contractor to sign directly below the following consent language:
"I agree to receive SMS notifications from GenCare Resources related to administrative coordination, including invoice review reminders, service record updates, and operational notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance."
Signed authorization forms are securely retained by GenCare Resources for recordkeeping and compliance purposes.

GenCare Resources does not use SMS messaging for unsolicited marketing or promotional purposes without separate express written authorization.

Contractor message example:

Patient message example:
"GenCare Resources: Reminder — your home health visit is scheduled for [date] at [time]. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Msg & Data rates may apply."

Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. GenCare Resources is not responsible for any charges incurred from your mobile carrier.

Opt-Out Instructions
You may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying:
STOP
After opting out you will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent. If you opt out and wish to re-enroll, reply START or contact GenCare Resources directly.
For patients: after opting out, GenCare Resources will use alternative communication methods when required for care coordination or regulatory compliance.

Privacy and Confidentiality
GenCare Resources complies with all applicable HIPAA and state privacy requirements. SMS text messages are limited to the minimum necessary information and are not intended to transmit detailed protected health information (PHI).

For clinical questions or sensitive matters, patients and caregivers should contact the GenCare Resources office directly rather than communicating via SMS.

GenCare Resources, LLC is a licensed Florida Home Health Agency. All services are provided under a physician-authorized Plan of Care and subject to appropriate clinical oversight. SMS messaging is used as a supplemental communication method only and does not replace:

Carrier Disclaimer
Delivery of SMS messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier. GenCare Resources and mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

Changes to This Policy
GenCare Resources reserves the right to update this SMS/Text Messaging Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued receipt of SMS messages after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
